Claude is widely recognized as the most qualified and experienced valuation, transaction and financing advisor based in Edmonton.  Claude has 30 years of full time experience and he has mentored six Chartered Business Valuators (CBV) over the past 20 years.

 

Claude graduated from the University of Windsor with Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1985 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 1990.  Claude is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) , completed in 1988, and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), completed in 1992.

 

Claude founded Quantum Advisory in 2005.  From 1985 to 2005, Claude had a successful career with a Big 4 international CA firm, including five years of progressive audit experience in Toronto from 1985 to 1990; seven years of full-time valuation and corporate finance experience in Toronto from 1990 to 1997; and eight years as the Senior Vice President and Partner in charge of the valuation and corporate finance practice in Edmonton from 1997 to 2005.  Claude has led 575 acquisition, divestiture, merger, financing and valuation engagements in his 30 years of full-time experience and has completed over 90 transactions and financings in northern Alberta since 1997.  Claude’s fluency in English and French and proficiency in Spanish has provided him the opportunity to participate in international projects.

 

Married with a son, Claude enjoys golfing as a member of the Edmonton Country Club, skiing, traveling, participating in his son's activities and spending time at the family cottage in the Okanagan.

Rodney P. Briere

CPA, CA

Associate

Rodney graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1995 and obtained his Chartered Accountant  (CA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 1998.  Rodney  is currently enrolled as a candidate with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and is pursuing his Chartered Business Valuator  (CBV) designation.

 

Rodney’s experience includes twenty years of business advisory service as a partner at three local accounting firms.  During this period, Rodney’s clients relied on him to provide strategic advice on an ongoing basis to help them grow their businesses and  to achieve their objectives.  Rodney became a skilled negotiator and liaison with Canada Revenue Agency and Alberta Tax and Revenue Administration, as well as a liaison between clients and their financial lenders.  Rodney has negotiated many financial and business transactions and raised capital through private lenders and financial institutions on a number of occasions.  Rodney has been involved in growing businesses from start-up to maturity and has successfully assisted numerous clients in the divestiture of their businesses.

 

Rodney’s personal interests include spending time with his daughter, family and friends as well as maintaining an active lifestyle through continually pushing his physical limits.

Cheryl A. Snow

Office Manager

 

Cheryl earned her associate degree in business management and administration while attending Bryant Stratton, located in the state of New York.

 

Cheryl’s background includes 20 years of progressive management experience within the insurance and financial services industry.  Prior to relocating from the US to Canada in 1995, Cheryl was progressively promoted within the management of the Travelers Insurance Company and MetraHealth Insurance Company in three offices located in the states of New York, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.  After relocating to Canada, Cheryl was a manager within the insurance operations of the Canadian Automobile Association in Toronto and a manager within the customer service operations of General Electric in Edmonton.

 

Cheryl is married and the devoted mother of a son who keeps her active with his activities.  An avid home renovator/decorator and gardener, Cheryl also enjoys participating in various cultural and social activities within Edmonton and vacationing at the family cottage in the Okanagan.

Dakota graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2014 with a major in finance and a minor in business law. Dakota is currently pursuing the Chartered  Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

 

Dakota’s experience includes employment with a public company in the construction industry including roles as an estimating assistant and a project controls assistant. In 2014, Dakota joined Quantum Advisory as an Associate where he supports the firm in completing client engagements and in a marketing capacity.

 

Outside of work, Dakota stays actively involved with his local community coaching competitive swimming for the Parkland Pirates Aquatic Swim Club.

 

Dakota’s interests include golfing, football, hockey, beach volleyball, reading, and maintaining a gregarious lifestyle.
